WHAT IS ACCESSAPHONE?
accessaphone is a software application that enhances the accessibility and usability of the phone system. This is because accessaphone gives VoIP and digital telephone users the choice to use keyboard controls or audible commands to perform call functions – including dial, hold, transfer and conference, just to name a few. Today, many VoIP and PBX vendors choose accessaphone as their solution for Section 508 and various other accessibility laws.
HOW IT WORKS
accessaphone™ controls a digital or TDM phone (or it can enhance a soft phone application on your computer) using a computer to provide call functions through intuitive keyboard hot keys (D for Dial, H for Hold, etc.), voice commands using Dragon Naturally Speaking or a standard mouse. accessaphone controls the phone through the phone system TSP (Telephony Service Provider).
See the communication path diagram for more information on how this is done.
accessaphone includes built in text-to-speech that can be turned on or off should you prefer to use another screen reader or none at all.
Through the use of Text-To-Speech Voice Commands, intuitive Hot Keys and editable font sizes throughout the application, accessaphone provides world class access to many communication devices for users with various levels of vision, mobility and cognitive abilities.
